Aboard an off-course interstellar freighter, the ship's engineer and its computer work to decipher the aftermath of a game of cat and mouse in a rather familiar and decidedly mundane future.
Major Characters
Moth: An American freelancer with an overly comprehensive inner monologue who recently lost her short term memory and ability to read. Fond of pickles and dismantling doors, less comfortable with system hacking.
Ekaatma: The polite but easily confused natural language expert system in charge of the ship of the same name.
The Other Alice: The mysterious invader who stole Moth's stolen identity and set this whole mess in motion.
